AA phone helplines

Contact AA?

We know how difficult it may be for you to talk to someone about your problem.  You can pick up the phone and talk anonymously to someone who knows exactly how you are feeling, because they've been through it too.

Phone our national helpline number 1300 22 22 22* and your call will be routed to your nearest local AA office or contact.

Download a one page list of helplines here: Helplines in Australia

*If you call a 1300 number from a landline you will be charged at your normal local call rate. If you call a 1300 number from a mobile phone your phone service provider will charge you according to the rate you agreed to in your plan.

AA doesn't employ professional counsellors or psychologists. When you phone an AA helpline you will be talking to an AA member, a volunteer who is an alcoholic and is using the AA program to recover and stay sober.
